LaptopMag reviews the ASUS F3SV-B1 notebook
LaptopMag has published a review of the ASUS F3SV-B1 notebook here on their website. This 15.4 inch notebook packs a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor inside a frame which weighs approximately 6.5 lbs – not too shabby if you ask me. I did a lookup of the notebook on the ASUS website and it appears the non-US version packs an integrated DVB-T tuner inside although LaptopMag makes no mention of the tuner in the review. The specs on the system they did review are as follows:
- Intel Core 2 Duo processor T7500 running at 2.2 GHz
- Windows Vista Home Premium
- 2GB of RAM expandable to 4GB
- 160GB 5400 RPM HDD
- DVD burner
- 15.4 inch – 1680 x 1050 resolution display
- NVIDIA GeForce G8600M GS GPU
- 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth support
- 4 USB 2.0, FireWire, DVI, S-Video ports
- ExpressCard support, 8 in 1 memory card reader
- Measures 14.2 x 10.8 x 1.5 inches and weighs 6.5 lbs
Here’s the verdict from LaptopMag:
If frame rates are the be all, end all, you may wish to pass up this model for a higher-end rig like the Asus G1. Power users on a budget, however, should be satisfied with the Asus F3SV-B1’s rich display and performance.
