Altec Lansing introduces new Upgrader Headphone series

Altec Lansing has a new headphone product line out called the “Upgrader Series” (which makes you wonder what they will call the next series.. Upgrader II?) which is comprised of two smaller lineups – the UHS line (headphones with microphones) and the UHP line (headphones only).

Three of the new headphones are the UHS 302, UHS 306, and UHS 307 – all of which feature microphones and a specialized convertible adapter developed to connect to the Apple iPhone as well as most mobile phones.

UHS headphones come with:

Gold plated 1/4 inch (3.5mm)
Four-band connector that fits with the iPhone’s unique audio jack and assures a pure audio experience
Devices can be attached via the standard 1/4-inch (3.5mm) gold plated connector or a 1/8-inch (2.5mm) adapter that fits most audio component output ports.

According to Altec Lansing, the new headphone lineup is targeted towards three different market segments – the Audio Enthusiasts market, the Active Users market, and the Casual Listeners market.
