SavitMicro cineDISK storage device/media player
Now here’s a unique device – it’s the cineDISK SM36HD from SavitMicro and it’s a combination (get this..) portable external hard drive, network attached storage device, and external media player. That’s right – this 3.5 inch SATA hard drive chassis has ports going up the wazzoo. It’s littered with all sorts of connectivity options. You get USB 2.0 and Ethernet connections to support the storage capabilities. You also get a wide range of video connections such as DVI-I, DVI-D, Component output – all useful for 720p/1080i video output onto a television set. On the audio side, the device has stereo audio, coaxial, and optical connectors. File format support includes WMV HD, MPEG4, MPEG1/2, MP3, OggVorbis, WMA, and JPG.
