Remember that Dell press release I was referring to early this morning? Well Dell used the Macy’s event today to introduce a new consumer marketing campaign and several new products including colorful Inspiron and XPS notebooks, new desktop systems, and new widescreen monitors. Dell certainly went for the glitz with this event - hiring models to walk a runway sporting multiple colors to match the colors of their new products. Ah yes - there’s also that new consumer marketing campaign which is now called “Yours is Here.” Dell even set up a “Dell Lounge” within the Herald Square Macy’s department store. The lounge itself will stay there for the next 2 weeks. You’ll be able to drop by, check out the new systems and even purchase them there.

The new Dell products introduced today include the following:

  • Inspiron 530, 530s and 531, 531s desktops
  • Inspiron 1720, 1721 (17-inch), Inspiron 1520 and 1521 (15.4-inch), Inspiron 1420 (14.1 inch) notebooks
  • XPS M1330 (13.3-inch) notebook

Prices start as low as $1299 for the XPS M1330. Now what’s even hotter is the integrated support for HDMI. I don’t see any mention of HDCP support but I’ll dig around some more.
