Did anyone else notice this interesting report over at DigiTimes a few days ago? They’re reporting on rumors that Shuttle might be trying to sell itself to another PC company with ECS and Acer being possible suitors. While ECS has had a good working relationship with Shuttle, it’s not entirely clear how a buying Shuttle would help ECS – especially when you consider there’s quite a bit of product overlap between the two organizations. Acer on the other hand would definitely benefit from an acquisition of Shuttle. Shuttle’s product offerings easily complements Acer’s product line - from small form factor PCs to DIY components.
