Toshiba is finally rolling out integrated HD DVD drives to some of its laptop systems. They announced today that the new Satellite P205, Satellite X205 and Qosmio F45 will be the company’s first mainstream systems to incorporate HD DVD drives. The new Qosmio G45 will be the first US notebook to incorporate a writeable HD DVD drive.

The new HD DVD enabled laptops will have prices ranging from $1449 to $3199. The Satellite P205, Satellite X205 and the Qosmio G45 feature a 17 inch widescreen display while the Qosmio F45 comes with a 15.4 inch widescreen display.

Another nice enhancement added to the Satellite X205, Qosmio F45, and Qosmio G45 is an HDMI port. You can connect the notebook to a high definition display and watch your favorite HD DVDs on a big screen. The Qosmio G45 will be able to output in 1080p while the Satellite X205 will output in 1080i.

No word on exact pricing for these new systems but you’ll hear more about it over the next several weeks and months. The actual system prices and configurations will be coming out over the course of the third quarter of this year.
