Syntax-Brillian Corporation has announced that they will be introducing their first display larger than 50 inches in North America in the form of the Olevia 665i – a 65 inch LCD Television set. The 665i is the first large area display to utilize the Silicon Optix Realta HQV video processor and will be aimed at the professional A/V home theater market. Yes that means while you’re used to seeing inexpensive Olevia television sets, this certainly will not be one of them. Features of the new Olevia 665i HDTV include the following:

  • Full complement of inputs (2 HDMI, 2 Component, Composite and VGA inputs)
  • Provides RS232 control for use in networked applications or home automation installations
  • Firmware upgradeable via USB
  • Olevia Big Picture Technology to reduce overscan and enable consumers to enjoy more of the image
  • Wide viewing angle
  • Thin bezel design with removable speakers enables the set to adapt to a variety of applications and viewing environments
  • Optional wall mount for custom installations
  • MSRP: $9,999

You can expect to find the Olevia 665i in the beginning of October at various professional audio/video distributors as well as CEDIA/home theater specialty retail channels.
