Samsung launched their new Ultra Edition II lineup of mobile phones in Southeast Asia today. The new Ultra Edition II lineup consists of the following phones:

  • Ultra Edition 10.9 (U600) – Slider phone available in sapphire blue, garnet red, platinum metal and copper gold casing. Other features include a 3.2 megapixel digital camera, a 2.22 inch widescreen LCD display,
  • Ultra Edition 12 (U700) – Slider phone featuring HSDPA support
  • Ultra Edition 9.6 (U300) – Metallic clamshell phone
  • Ultra Edition 5.9 (U100) – Candybar handset

All four phones feature 3 megapixel digital cameras, video camcorder support, high speed Internet connectivity, and multimedia capabilities. The new phones feature Samsung’s Optimized Power Usage Solution (OPUS) technology which increases talk time by 10%, power savings by 30%, and battery capacities by 10%. It also features Samsung’s Smart Surface Mounting Technology (SSMT) which reduces the number of required components, interference, and noise.
