Apple has announced that the battery life on the upcoming iPhone will be better than previously expected.  The battery should provide up to eight hours of talk time and up to 24 hours of music playback. The original numbers were five hours of talk time and 16 hours of music playback. Also – the surface of the touch screen device has been upgraded to use optical quality glass from plastic. This will make the surface more resistant to scratches.

My only comment to this was.. plastic? Can that be right? Was it previously using a plastic surface???
