Globe7 introduces two new Internet Phone products
Honestly – I’ve never heard of these guys before but then again – I’m not big on the VoIP industry either. Anyhow, the company is called “Globe7″ and they claim to be the “World’s No. 1 VoIP provider”. Hmm ok.. I have no idea but what I do know is that they’ve introduced two new Internet Phone products in the form of the “Wireless Internet Phone” and the “Internet Storage Phone”. Yeah.. these product names leave a lot to be desired..
The Wireless Internet Phone (WIPA) is a cordless phone with a small base which connects directly to your PC or laptop via a USB cable. The base serves as both the charger and speakerphone. The package comes with the VoIP software from Globe7. Features of the phone include a large graphic display, 33 foot range, 100 hour standby time and 10 hour talk time.
The Internet Storage Phone (ISPA) looks like a USB flash drive.. because in many ways it is a USB flash drive. It’s also a hands-free headset device with an integrated microphone. The device comes with 1 GB of storage space. Plug it into a computer and launch the VoIP application and you’ve got yourself a complete VoIP solution. Other features include a webcam for free video chatting.
Both phones are priced at $120 which includes one year of unlimited calling to 25 destinations and a free US phone number.
