Sony Ericsson introduces K530 and GPS Enabler HGE-100
The new products just keep on coming from Sony Ericsson. This time it’s the new K530 3G phone and the new GPS Enabler HGE-100. The K530 is a slim phone which gives you fast access to the Internet, access to a variety of news, weather, and entertainment features, and a 2 megapixel digital camera. It’s also the first Sony Ericsson phone to be compatible with the new GPS Enabler product. The enabler plugs into the phone to turn it into a personal satellite navigation system.
Features of the K530 include the following:

- 2 megapixel digital camera with 2.5 x digital zoom
- Video recording capabilities
- Memory Stick Micro support
- Preloaded with Weather access – a weather forecast application which gives you a three day outlook for free with unlimited access time
- Compatible with GPS Enable HGE-100
- UMTS 2100 and GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 support
- USB Mass storage support
- Available in Warm Silver
- Coming out in Q3 of 2007
Meanwhile, the new Sony Ericsson HGE-100 GPS Enabler features:
- Navigation with voice and text commands
- Save destinations or search your destination by address, person, company, and even local points of interest
- ‘Tracker’ GPS sports application records training sessions and analyzes performance
- Compatible with many Sony Ericsson phones
- Plugs in and doubles as a stereo portable handsfree – use it to control calls and music or switch to GPS mode when you want to find your way
- Graphical, icon display when used with phone
- 3.5 mm connector halfway up the cord so you can switch headphones for different environments
- Available in selected markets starting in Q3 of 2007
