The countdown has begun for the launch of Halo 3 – one of the most highly anticipated games coming out for any gaming platform this year. In preparation for the launch, Microsoft has announced several new Halo 3 products for the Xbox 360 platform. Here’s the rundown:

Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 3 Wireless Controllers:

Starting on September 18th, you’ll be able to purchase two new Xbox 360 controllers with artwork inspired from the Halo 3 game. The artwork itself was done by legendary Spawn artist Todd McFarlane. You’ll be able to choose the “Convenant Brute” controller or the “Master Chief” controller. Each controller will come with a limited edition Halo 3 collectible figurine. The controller plus figurine will set you back $59.99.

Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 3 Wireless Headset:

My goodness, Microsoft LOOOOVES the “Limited Edition” catch phrase these days. Case in point – the Xbox 360 Limited Edition Halo 3 Wireless Headset which sports the Spartan gold and green colors. This headset will be available in early September for an estimated price of $59.99. You can preorder this headset now.

Now don’t forget - there’s a new Halo book coming out as well as a Marvel Comic miniseries about Halo called Halo: Uprising. Finally, if you’re into the Zune, there will be a Zune Halo 3 Edition available at GameStop starting on June 15th for approximately $249.
