Oh yes.. I nearly forgot (maybe because I don’t own a Mac nor do I develop software for the Mac) – it’s that time of the year again – it’s the Apple WorldWide Developer’s Conference in San Fran.   • Apparently the largest WWDC ever – 5000+ attendees
  • PC guy was up on stage pretending to be Steve
  • 1 Engineer for every 4 attendees here
  • Intel basks a bit under the limelight
  • EA games is coming back to the Mac platform with several titles including C&C 3, Battlefield 2142, Need for Speed Carbon, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Madden 08 and Tiger Woods Golf 08
  • ID software and John Carmack show off new gaming engine utilizing 20GB of textures
  • There are ten new features in Leopard
  • New Desktop with new background, menu bar and dock
  • New tool to clean your desktop called Stacks
  • New addition to dock called “Downloads” which will track what you’ve downloaded through browser
  • Stacks can be used as an application launcher
  • New Finder feature with a new siderbar. You can now search on other computers in your network. Spotlight improvements.
  • .Mac subscribers can share documents with other Macs over the Internet
  • Cover Flow will appear on new Finder – allow you to browse documents similar to browsing for content on iTunes
