Foxconn, known more for their motherboards than say… LCD TV’s, has reportedly sent 40 inch LCD TV samples to Sony and will begin official shipments of these displays next year. This is on top of 32 inch LCD TV models which will be delivered to Sony in July of this year. The 32 inch LCD TVs from Foxconn will utilize panels developed by S-LCD which is a joint venture between Sony and Samsung. According to DigiTimes, Sony began utilizing third party manufacturers in the past two years to cut costs.
