VIA shrinks those motherboards
I used to absolutely love VIA Technologies. Although they didn’t make the fastest of processors, chipsets, or motherboards, they certainly designed and manufactured innovative small form factor products such as mini-itx motherboards. Well, it looks like VIA is continuing the small form factor push with a slew of new motherboard designs – the Nano-ITX, Pico-ITX, and Mobile-ITX boards. Get this – each board is 50 percent smaller than the previous board.. is that amazing or what? Even the small Pico-ITX board is capable of handling a 1.2GHz processor. That’s plenty fast enough for a small media oriented computer (just don’t think about turning it into a high end DVR system). Check out News.com for many more closeup pictures.
