AU Optronics Corp. introduced Taiwan’s first 65 inch full high definition 120Hz LCD television display today called the T645HW01. The company also claims that this is the second 65 inch LCD panel to be commercialized in the world. The panel will be on display between June 13th to June 15th at the Display Taiwan 2007 conference to be held in Taipei.

Specs on the 65 inch LCD TV model T645HW01 include the following:

  • 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 120 Hz frequency
  • 178 degree viewing angle
  • 4 ms response time
  • 2000:1 contrast ratio
  • 92% NTSC color saturation
  • Over 1billion colors
  • CCFL backlighting (10 bits)
  • 500 cd/m2 brightness

AU Optronics expects mass production to begin in the third quarter of 2007.
