SanDisk has introduced two new USB flash drives designed for the business environment with an emphasis on security. The new drives are the SanDisk Cruzer Professional and the SanDisk Cruzer Enterprise. Features common to both the Professional and the Enterprise include the following:

  • Password protection
  • Hardware based 256 bit AES encryption
  • Plug and play operations
  • Read speeds up to 24 MB/s and write speeds up to 20 MB/s

The Cruzer Professional provides the user with the option to create a secure, password protected “Privacy Zone”. This zone can occupy anywhere from 1 percent to 100 percent of the drive – depending upon your needs.

The Cruzer Enterprise makes security mandatory by making sure the entire drive is password protected with files encrypted in case the drive is lost or stolen.

Both the Professional and the Enterprise are available in the US.They are expected in Europe starting in July and in Asia later on this year.

  • 1GB for $54.99
  • 2GB for $94.99
  • 4GB for $144.99

The Cruzer Enterprise will be available as follows:

  • 1GB for $74.99
  • 2GB for $124.99
  • 4GB for $184.99
