Samsung Electronics (yet again!) has announced the introduction of a new mobile phone which was designed in cooperation with Jasper Morrison called the SGH-E590. The SGH-E590 utilizes a compact bar design which utilizes both sides of the phone – one side features the phone’s keypad and LCD screen while the other side has dedicated camera functions.  Samsung decided to team up with Jasper Morrison to “satisfy our users with high-performance technology and emotional design.” Features of the Samsung SGH-E590 include the following:

  • GPRS Class 10 /EDGE/Tri-band support
  • 3.0 megapixel auto focus digital camera with half shutter intuitive camera UI/panaorama shot
  • 1.79 inch 220 x 220 pixel resolution color TFT screen with support for 262K colors
  • Integrated music player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA
  • Bluetooth 2.0 support
  • USB 2.0 support
  • Voice streaming and messaging
  • Video recording
  • 90 MB of memory
  • External memory slot
  • Measures 94 x 42 x 13.5 mm and weighs only 66 grams

The SGH-E590 will be available in two colors (noble black and snow silver) and will be launched in Europe, China, and South East Asia this month.
