LaCie Ethernet Big Disk delivers 2 terabytes of disk storage
Looking for something a wee bit larger than a 1 terabyte external hard drive? How about a 2 terabyte external hard drive instead? LaCie has announced it’s new Ethernet Big Disk which features a whopping two terabytes of disk space. Majoe features of the LaCie Ethernet Big Disk include:
- Support for Gigabit Ethernet
- Support for Windows, Mac, and Linux
- Stream multimedia content
- Simple setup using quick Wizard install
The drive is designed to either connect to the network via a Gigabit Ethernet port where you can then share files among different platforms ranging from Windows, Mac, and Linux or you can directly connect the drive to your computer via a USB port. Here are the technical specifications for the LaCie Ethernet Big Disk:
- 7200 RPM HDD
- 16 MB cache
- 400 MHz processor with 64MB DDRAM
- Support for SMB (Windows/Linux), AFP (Mac), FTP Server, HTTP for online browsing, Multimedia Server, UPnP A/V, Apple Bonjour
- Measures 1.7 x 6.7 x 10.6 inches and weighs 5.51 lbs
- 2 Year limited warranty
The 2 Terabyte LaCie Ethernet Big Disk is expected to ship in late June for an MSRP of $1099.99.
