Here’s an interesting article from the folks at DigiTimes that should perk the ears of Shuttle enthusiasts. DigiTimes had an interview with Shuttle and apparently the company is planning to sell stand-alone XPC motherboards to the consumer. Up until now, the only way you could get an XPC motherboard was by purchasing the entire barebone systems which includes the motherboard, case, and power supply. However, there are many out there who own complete XPC systems but would rather just replace the motherboard. Unfortunately, they can’t do that right now. Shuttle is looking to change this situation by making those XPC motherboards available for purchase at some point in the near future.
