BenQ Joybook S32 and Joybook S32W notebooks
BenQ announced two new Joybook notebooks a few weeks back – the Joybook S32 and the Joybook S32W. Let’s start with the Joybook S32.
The S32 has a unique looking design with a 3D image embedded right into the aluminum body. BenQ calls the image “stellar mists from deep in the galaxy.” Well I’m not sure about that one BUT the image is certainly unique and right there on the lid of the notebook. Features of the S32 include:
- 13.3 inch 250 nit widescreen display
- 3D metallic shading
- Smooth body and contoured lines
- Striking silver strip and diamond cut logo
- Ripple textured touchpad
- 1.3 megapixel QEye webcam
- SRS TruSurround XT technology
- Intel Centrino Duo technology includes Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the Intel GM965 Express chipset
At first glance, the S32W looks like an older Apple iBook with it’s smooth white surface and lines. The notebook utilizes what BenQ calls a Laminated Color Metal (LCM) coating as well as a stylish silver bar and a diamond cut logo. Features of the S32W include:
- 13.3 inch widescreen display with 250 nits of brightness
- Smooth body and contoured lines
- Ripple textured touchpad
- 1.3 megapixel QEye Webcam
- SRS TruSurround XT
- Intel Centrino Duo technology with Intel Core 2 Duo processor and Intel GM965 Express chipset
