Here’s an invention which I hope will never see the light of day. It’s called the ”Home appliance with MP3 player” and LG recently filed a patent for it. What home appliance is it exactly? It’s none other than a washing machine folks. Yes.. what will people think of next? Aw heck, I should just patent things like “chairs with integrated MP3 players”, or the toilet seat with an integrated MP3 player while I’m at it.

As the diagram infers, the washing machine comes with speakers, a special dock and control panel for an MP3 player built inside.

Now honestly – how many of you actually hang around the washing machine? Aside from people who bring their clothes to laundromats, we generally stay away from laundry machines. Why? There’s just not a whole lot to do around them! Even if you coupled MP3 players into every laundry machine within a laundromat, can you imagine the cacophony of sounds that would result from the store??
