Here’s an interesting device from PQI. It’s called the USB DOM (which stands for DiskOnModule) and basically it’s flash memory that’s attached to a 10 pin USB port. You get storage capacities from 32 MB to 2GB and you get read speeds up to 22MB/s and write speeds up to 17MB/sec. The product page states that the module is ideal for Windows CE/Linux/DOS environments but the folks at Akihabara News bring up an interesting point – it might also be workable as a Windows Vista ReadyBoost solution to your PC.
