Albatron will be showcasing several new HTPC oriented motherboards at the upcoming Computex 2007. These new motherboards all feature small form factors making them ideal candidates to be used in creating home theater personal computers. The new motherboard lineup includes the following models:

Albaton KI690-AM2:

The KI690-AM2 was announced before CeBIT 2007 and will begin full production starting in June. This Mini-ITX motherboard uses AMD’s 690g chipset and features support for the AMD Athlon 64 x2 processor. Other features include:

  • 1000+ MHz FSB
  • 2 DDR II SO-DIMM slots
  • ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 graphics
  • 1 PCI slot
  • 8 USB 2.0 ports (4 via optional cable)
  • Marvell Gbit LAN
  • 8 Channel HD Audio
  • 1 ATA 133 channel
  • SATA RAID 0, 1, 0+1 & JBOD
  • 4 SATII 3Gb/s Channels
  • 2 – IEEE 1394 channels

Albatron KI690-SI

The KI690-SI is another Mini-ITX board which features that are nearly identical to the KI690-AM2 motherboard above. The difference is – the KI690-SI uses AMD’s mobile processor lineup – the Turion 64 and the Turion 64 x2 which translates to lower power consumtpion and quieter overall systems.

Albatron KD690-AM2

The KD690-AM2 utilizes AMD’s recent Mini-DTX motherboard form factor which is slightly larger than the Mini-ITX form factor. The board measures in at 20 x 17 cm which means it has a bit more room for expansion slots (2 slots instead of one). The board comes with 1 PCIe slot and 1 PCI slot but is otherwise identical to the KI690-AM2.
