Dell EC280 low cost PC for emerging markets
Here’s a computer that you probably won’t see here in the states anytime soon. It’s the Dell EC280 and it’s currently available only in the Chinese market. The EC280 is designed specifically for emerging markets as a low cost PC. Inside the system, you’ll find an Intel Celeron M 205 processor coupled with a SiSM661GX chipset. What’s particularly cool about the system is the diminuitive size of the chassis – the EC280 is one eighth the size of a regular ATX chassis. Talk about tiny! Yes.. this puts the EC280 right up there against other small form factor PCs – it’s just a shame you probably won’t find the system here in the US. Prices for the EC280 range from $339 to $400 U.S. dollars.
