The folks from Explay are showing off their new oio nano-projector - the first mobile and fully operational nanon-projector capable of displaying a high quality image with ample brightness. According to a press release from Explay, the oio projects an “always focused eye safe image” viewable in environments ranging from a dimly lit bar to a bright office room. The oio utilizes Explay’s revolutionary laser based nano-projector engine which enables high resolution images 20 times larger than the mobile device that it’s housed in. You can expect to see the oio sometime in 2008. Very exciting stuff - imagine this technology in mobile phones!

Herzliya, Israel, May 22, 2007 — Explay introduced and demonstrated the oio at a press conference at SID 2007 in Long Beach, California today. oio, the first truly mobile and fully operational nano-projector, displayed a high image quality and brightness.
