BenQ sells off digital camera group
Are times getting a little tough for Taiwan’s BenQ? They’ve announced that they are selling their digital camera related R&D and mannufacturing facilities to Ability Enterprise Co. The deal is reportedly worth approximately $3 million dollars and the transaction is expected to close on June 30th of this year. BenQ’s digital camera assets include approximately 70 employees – most of which are in research and development. BenQ hopes to turn its business around by streamlining its product line.
