If you were wondering where your cube mate was today – don’t blame him for not being in the office ok? He probably was at home trying to get onto the Halo 3 beta which made its debut today. The early reviews have been mixed thus far and there were even technical glitches along the way with many users reporting not be able to get the beta. According to information on Bungie’s website, more than 8000 people were playing Halo 3 on Wednesday afternoon. 51,000 people have played the game in the last 24 hours alone! Here’s one look at the Halo 3 beta complements of ThinkGaming.org. No real initial verdict from them although they do provide a video. There was one statement in there that grabbed my eye – Halo 3 graphics “are nothing like the graphics of Gears of War”. Hmm.. that’s a bummer.
