Panasonic introduces DMP-BD10A Blu-ray player at $599.95
The price differential that exists between HD DVD and Blu-ray players is starting to erode with the introduction of the new Panasonic DMP-BD10A Blu-ray player. Panasonic’s latest next generation player has a suggested retail price of $599.95 and features support for 7.1 channel audio codecs including Dolby True HD, and DTS HD.
Features of the DMP-BD10A include:
- Support for Panasonic’s proprietary EZ-Sync system for one touch operation of Panasonic home theater components
- Comes with five Blu-ray titles – Pirates of the Caribbean – Curse of the Black Pearl, Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man’s Chest, Transporter, Fantastic 4, and Crash
- Supports DVDs with automatic 1080p unconversion via HDMI
- Supports CD’s
- Proprietary P4HD technology for performing IP conversion at the pixel level for ultra-fine details
- 297 MHz 14 bit video D/A converter with 4x oversampling
- Video noise shaping improves signal to noise ratios by shifting noise to an unused band
- Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, DTS decoding, BD-J (Java application) compatibility
