Cambridge SoundWorks – SoundWorks Radio 820HD Stereo Table Radio
Here’s something I missed a few days ago – Cambridge SoundWorks is now selling the SoundWorks Radio 820HD stereo table radio for $299. HD radio has been sparking my interest recently mostly because I’m too cheap to buy XM or Sirius radio service.
So what is HD radio? HD radio is billed as the following:
- near CD quality sound for FM stations
- FM sound for AM stations
- Textual data can be sent over HD radio – text such as traffic data, stock information, sports scores etc
Features of the SoundWorks Radio 820HD include:
- Sleek enclosure design
- Custom designed, high precision left and right speaker elements
- State of the art AM and FM tuner performance featuring iBiquity Digital Corporation’s HD Radio technology
- Unique in class telescoping antenna to support the FM band and an external AM loop antenna to support AM band
- Dual alarms with seven day, five day, and one day patterms
- Convenient AUX input and Headphone output
- Magnetic shielding
- Full function IR remote
- Snooze/Mute bar
- JOG push buttons for options navigation
- Available in Black or White
- Optical digital output
- Measures 4 3/8 x 13 1/4 x 7 1/2 inches
- Weighs 8 lbs
What’s particularly attractive about the SoundWorks Radio 820HD is the price – its retail price is $299. Couple that with near CD quality FM sound and no service fees, and you just might have yourself a winner.
You can purchase the SoundWorks Radio 820HD at the Cambridge SoundWorks’ website, by phone, or by visiting select retailer locations.
