Intel names the winners of the million dollar PC design challenge
Intel today announced the winners of their $1 million Intel Core Processor Challenge which was introduced back in September of last year. The Core Processor Challenge was open to original design manufacturers and original equipment manufacturers of PC’s worldwide. The grand prize winner to the contest was awarded to TriGem Computer Inc. of Korea for their Home Theater Lluon “Black Crystal” design.
The first runner up prize was given to Mesiro of Norway for their “Asono Merium” design.
TriGem will receive up to $300,000 to help offset the costs of mass producing the winning system and up to $400,000 for co-marketing and promotional activities with Intel. Mesiro will receive up to $300,000 to help offset the costs of enabling the mass production of their runner up system.
