Since we’re on the topic of the Apple iPhone – did anyone notice the subtle statement made by Apple regarding the phone?  While we all know from Cingular that the phone will be available starting on June 11th – this doesn’t imply that the phone will actually ship on June 11th. Well in a statement from Apple today, the first sentence said the following:

“iPhone has already passed several of its required certification tests and is on schedule to ship in late June as planned.”

So the phone has passed some tests … but more importantly, the phone is on schedule to “ship in late June as planned”. Hmm.. late June is the ship date and to my recollection June 11th is not normally considered late June. Just some food for thought.
