OLPC Operating System available for download
People interested in checking out the OS that will power the “One Laptop Per Child” laptop can now download it for free at a RedHat download site. The OS download weighs in at around 291 MB and will give developers and end users a chance to see what will come with the 100 dollar laptop.
According to DailyTech, the OS actually runs fairly well on a variety of machines even though it’s not designed to do so. You can find out additional information about the One Laptop Per Child project at laptop.org. Snapshots of the OS can be found here.
