Here’s something interesting from late last week. Gizmodo was reporting about the possibility that Rosetta@Home  could be coming to the Xbox 360 platform – this in light of the fact that Folding@Home would be coming to the Sony PS3 platform. What’s the basis for this possibility? A quote from head scientist and lead developer David Bake found on the Rosetta message boards dating from last October:

we have been discussing this idea with Microsoft quite a bit over the past several weeks; I will keep everybody posted.

So yes… if this happens, it’ll mean the millions of triple core Xbox 360′s would be usable to solve very important medical research problems.
