Nintendo has confirmed that they will indeed be releasing a new headset designed specifically for the Nintendo DS portable gaming console. The DS headset (translated by Kontrib as helmet) will allow DS players to communicate to other DS players via the Wi-Fi network connection. The new headset will accompany the launch of the new Pokemon game here in the US on April 22nd. No word on when the headset will be unveiled in Europe as of this time.
