LaptopMag has published a review of the new Netflix “Watch Now” streaming movie service here on their website. As you probably all know by now, the “Watch Now” service is a standard component of any Netflix subscription service. They basically allow you to view one hour for every dollar you spend per month with Netflix – thus a $5.99 a month plan would give you 6 hours of online viewing for that month. You can currently view approximately 1000 movies via the web interface from Netflix. Here’s the verdict from LaptopMag:

Generally, “watch now” is a rudimentary streaming-media solution that foreshadows the day when we will rent movies instantly from our set-top boxes. Netflix’ first attempt at online movie distribution has only basic playback features now, but it is a welcome value-add for customers who may want to sample a DVD before renting it or kill time at the airport.
