Cisco and Apple have announced that they have basically kissed and made up over the iPhone trademark lawsuits. Both companies have formally resolved their differences and are free to use the “iPhone” trademark with their products around the world. What’s interesting is that both companies have acknowledged the trademark ownership rights that have already been granted but they’ve both decided to drop their respective lawsuits.  Hmm interesting – especially since Cisco owns those trademarks.

The two companies also announced that they would continue to explore opportunities for interoperability in the areas of security, and consumer and enterprise communications. All other terms of the agreement are unfortunately confidential.
