Here’s an interesting problem that actually might be one of the more useful iPod products out there. It’s called the SendStation Dock Extender and it’s sole purpose is to extend the iPod dock connector outward from the iPod. Why would you need such a device? Well most people have cases for their Apple iPods. However when you want to use the iPod with a peripheral device like an iPod speaker system or even the iPod docking cradle, you need to remove the iPod from the case. This is where the SendStation Dock Extender comes in. You simply plug the extender into the bottom of the iPod through the case and then connect the extender to the plug on the peripheral device.

The SendStation Dock Extender comes with a matching universal dock insert with removable support and three interchangeable bumper caps. This simple little device works with all iPod cases that have holes for the Apple iPod dock connector.

No word on pricing as of yet but we’ll make sure to let you know when that information is released. The SendStation Dock Extender is due to come out in March of this year.
