PC Magazine reviews ASUS W5fe notebook
PC Magazine has published what I think is the first real review of the new ASUS W5fe notebook featuring Windows Vista’s SideShow Technology. The W5fe was on display prominently at this year’s CES 2007 in Las Vegas and really has been the poster child for Windows SideShow based technologies.
Spec wise, the ASUS W5fe features technologies such as:
- Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Model T7400 running at 2.16 GHz
- 1.5 GB of RAM
- 12.1 inch widescreen display powered by Intel GMA 950 graphics
- 160GB HDD
- Wi-Fi support
- DVD+R DL drive
Here’s the verdict from PC Mag:
The ASUS W5fe SideShow is an ultraportable with a full-color, 2.8-inch SideShow display on the front cover, with a gorgeous 12.1-inch widescreen on the opposing side.
Overall – they gave the ASUS W5fe a 3.5 out of 5 rating. Not too shabby but not the top of the heap either.
