ExtremeTech has published a review of the D-Link DNS-323 Network Storage Enclosure here on their website. The DNS-323 allows you to plug in up to two internal SATA hard drives and then configure them in one of four hard drive modes (Standard, JBOD, RAID 0, and RAID 1). Main features of the D-Link DNS-323 include:

  • Internet access via FTP
  • UPnP AV for storing and streaming media files
  • 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Port
  • USB Print Server Port
  • Integrated fan

Similar to the Netgear solution, the DNS-323 is purchased without any hard drives inside which means you provide the necessary storage. Here’s the verdict from ExtremeTech:

If you need a RAID 1 device for your networked home, the D-Link DNS-323 is easy to use and gets the job done.
