You can always count on Bang & Olufsen to come out with funky looking (and expensive) products. This time it’s the new Bang & Olufsen BeoCenter 2 entertainment centre. Shaped more like .. well a UFO (I guess?), the BeoCenter 2 is basically a combination CD player, DVD player, and radio unit all in one. You can add in extra options such as a DAB radio (if available), and Internet radio playback via connectors for a PC or a Mac.
The BeoCenter 2 features the following specs:
- FM/AM radio with 99 radio presets
- DVD-Video, Video-CD, Audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, CD-MP3, CD-WMA, DivX, JPEG playback support
- Supports NTSC and PAL
The BeoCenter 2 is actually made up of two units – a control panel and a separate socket unit. A single cable links the two units with the control unit designed to be placed clear of all cables and cords. The socket unit is used to connect to all your speakers and related components.
