Windows Mobile Device Center driver update
Here’s a heads up about Windows Mobile Device Center. If you’ve been using WMDC Beta 3 for some time, then you’ll want to update WMDC to the final version. It’s available either via Windows Update or via this page here on Microsoft’s website. Don’t know what WMDC is all about? Well it’s basically the replacement to Microsoft’s ActiveSync software application used in previous versions of Windows (XP and below). Microsoft decided to revamp the Windows Mobile synchronization software under Windows Vista – and hence you have Windows Mobile Device Center.
One issue thus far that I’ve noticed when I updated WMDC. I had to delete my existing partnership and reestablish a new partnership with my home PC. A little annoying but otherwise bearable. Otherwise, everything appears to be working. I’ll keep all of you posted should anything change.
In the meantime, Microsoft recommends that you uninstall the previous beta before installing the final version of WMDC.
