If you’re wondering what it’s like to upgrade an older Windows Media Center box to Windows Vista, then head on over to this posting over at GearLog where they’ve upgraded an Alienware DHS-series Media Center box. The upgrade took several hours to perform and folks – I’ve witnessed that before too! Sometimes it’s just easier to perform a clean install! Luckily things pretty much worked once Vista was finally up and running.
