Meridian Audio has introduced a new all in one surround sound DVD receiver system called the G95. The G95 features a 5.1 channel surround system receiver, supports CD and DVD playback, and has five built in 100W digital power amplifiers. The system plays back audio CDs, MP3 CDs, Video CDs, and DVD-Video discs. There’s built in decoding of Dolby Digital DTS, MPEG, and MP3 data streams for stereo and multi-chanell playback.

Meridian Audo also packs several input and output jacks with the G95 (I keep wanting to say G35). You’ll get:

  • Two coaxial digital inputs
  • Two optical digital inputs
  • Three analog input pairs
  • HDMI connector
  • Two composite video inputs
  • Three S-Video inputs
  • Interlaced Component Video inputs

Other features of the G95 include:

  • FM/AM tuner with RDS/RDBS support
  • 5 Channel sound with 100 watts per channel
  • Six analog line level outputs included to drive external power amplifiers and speakers
  • Slot loading DVD-ROM drive
  • Includes broadcast quality, high resolution video processor/scaler for 1080p output via HDMI

The word on price but the G95 is expected to be available during the first quarter of this year.
