I spent most of my evening in front of my work laptop – setting up Windows XP ironically enough. Why? I simply could not get the NVIDIA drivers to work on that laptop under Windows Vista (NVIDIA GeForce Go5700 driver to be exact). I was constantly witnessing a BSOD with the driver so after hours of debugging, I opted to revert back to Windows XP which I knew worked. Oh well.

So I come back to my office workstation (which is running Windows Vista Ultimate) and I noticed a Windows Update notification. Clicking on the Windows Update, I came across this screenshot:

Yup.. 22 new updates since midnight. Most of the updates were language packs being made available to early Vista adopters. There were a couple of other interesting updates including a BitLocker/EFS enhancement pack and a new Hold Em Poker Game (is this a Windows Ultimate Extra??? ). So all of you who have been running Windows Vista since the business launch – make sure to check up on Windows Update.

In the meantime, I’ll see what these updates do for me (probably not a whole lot)
