Sony has announced that the 60GB version of the PlayStation 3 will launch in Europe on March 23rd. The European launch was pushed back last year due to production issues for the Blu-ray component. The focus for Sony is to sell the high end 60GB unit in Europe. There is apparently no plans to sell the 20GB version in Europe at the moment.

The 60GB version of the PS3 will sell for $599 Euros (or $776 dollars) and will also be available in Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand on March 23rd.
