ExtremeTech Reviews Microsoft/Razer Habu Gaming Mouse
ExtremeTech has posted a review of the Microsoft/Razer Habu Gaming Mouse here on their website. I’ve always seen the Habu mouse as a symbol of how Microsoft has conceded that they really can’t create a great gaming mouse on their own – but rather need the expertise and experience of Razer. Of course Razer gets a lot of advantages from this partnership too – they get the Microsoft name and the distribution channel of Microsoft.
Here are the specs on the Habu mouse:
- Customizable buttons
- High speed sensitivity switching – up to 2000 DPI
- High speed motion detection – up to 45 inches per second, 20G acceleration and more than 7080 frames per second
- 15 bit data path and 1 GHz ultrapolling
- Uses Teflon to provide smooth and quiet gliding
But really – how does the Habu gaming mouse fare according to ExtremeTech?
With the help of Razer, Microsoft has joined the gaming mouse market in style, putting up their dukes against Logitech and their long line of solid gaming mice. The Habu’s features just may outweigh its price.
Watch out Logitech!
