HomeTheaterBlog Reviews Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD Player
HomeTheaterBlog has posted their review of the second generation HD DVD player from Toshiba – the HD-A2. The HD-A2 features:
- HD DVD playback with support for DVD, and DVD-R/-RW format
- DVD upconversion via HDMI video connection – 720p/1080i
- Outputs in 1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i
- Supports Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS, and DTS HD
- 32 bit Sharc DSP
- CD audio playback
Here’s the verdict on the new HD DVD player:
If you happen to go the HD DVD route, I can easily recommend either the HD-A2 or HD-A20 (I’m under the assumption it’s basically a HD-A2 with 1080p output) without reservation. And as always, happy viewing.
