Acrosser Technology has announced the release of a new mini-ITX motherboard called the AR-B1892. This new board is designed for gaming and embedded applications and supports the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor platform as well as the Trustee Platform Module (TPM) security platform. Why am I posting about a small motherboard? Well the smaller the motherboard, the smaller the home theater PC that can be created utilizing a dual core processor such as the Intel Core 2 Duo!

Features of the Across AR-B1892 include:

  • Support for Intel Core 2 Duo, Core Duo, Core Solo, and Celeron M processors
  • Intel 945GM chipset
  • Dual Channel 667/533 DDR 2 memory support – up to 4GB
  • VGA, LVDS, S-Video, and DVI video output – supports dual display
  • 6 x RS232, 8 x USB 2.0, 1 x 10/100Mbps Ethernet, Watchdog Timer, and more
  • 1 – PCI Express x 16 and PCI slot
  • Dual SATAII and IDE
  • Bootable CF Type II slot
  • Intelligent temperature controlled system fan connector

There are a couple of bummers though – the board lacks HDCP support and it lacks HD Audio.. but luckily it comes with a PCI-E and PCI slot which means you can always add an HDCP capable video card and a sound card.
