Here’s the new Philips PET830 Portable DVD player (also known as the Philips Slim set with DVD slot). The PET830 features:

  • 16:9 widescreen display with 480 x 234 resolution
  • Supports the following video media: DVD, Picture CD, (S)VCD, Video CD, DVD-R/-RW, MP3-CD, CD-R, CD-RW, WMA, DVD+R/+RW, DivX, MPEG
  • Supports the following audio media: CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3-CD, WMA-CD
  • 3 hours of playback with built in battery
  • USB connector for playback of photos and music from USB devices
  • Integrated speakers
  • Dual headphone jacks
  • Measures 10 x 6.7 x 1.2 inches and weighs 2.1 lbs

For those in need of a bigger display – don’t fret – Philips will also be coming out with a 10.2 inch unit called the PET1030. The PET830 and the PET1030 will be coming out during the first quarter of this year with the PET830 running $199 and the PET1030 $279.
